Within the framework of spreading the culture of quality and accreditation, the Quality Assurance Department held a workshop on Sunday, 11/05/2023 AD, for department heads in colleges, which aims to introduce programmatic quality systems and clarify the role of department heads in achieving and following them up. The workshop was opened by His Excellency the Assistant Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Planning and Quality, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad Alnajim, emphasizing the essential role played by the department head in the internal and external quality systems. Then, His Excellency the Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Dr. Bandar bin Alhumaidi Almutairi expressed this role in the context of national accreditation, emphasizing that this role should be further activated and strengthened through self-development, and continuous review and follow-up by department heads of quality work and their committees in academic programs. The workshop was attended by (18) department heads and program directors in the College of Engineering and Information Technology and the College of Humanities and Administrative Studies.

These workshops come in the context of the Quality Assurance Department’s implementation of the plan to qualify academic programs for national accreditation, and the administration’s contribution to achieving the mission and strategic goals of the Onaizah Colleges.
