The term quality assurance expresses the comprehensive approach that an educational institution takes to cover all academic and administrative aspects to serve students and other stakeholders to achieve the expected quality standards. To achieve this, the institution develops a strategic plan with specific initiatives and objectives on a detailed time frame and operational plans, and its implementation is distributed among all its departments and units. Hence the role of the Quality Unit in the College of Engineering and Information Technology is to follow up on achieving the strategic goals of Onaizah Private Colleges in the engineering field.

The unit follows up on the implementation of those goals by defining and implementing the general policy required to ensure quality from the colleges at the college and program levels. It also evaluates performance in the academic and administrative units of the college according to what is entrusted to it by His Excellency, the Dean of the College. It also promotes a culture of quality and continuous improvement of the level of quality at all levels within the college. Preparing comprehensive periodic reports on the progress of the process of quality assurance and academic accreditation in the college and submitting them to the dean of the college.

 

Objectives: 
  • Spreading the culture of quality in the college.

  • Evaluation of the college's performance level.

 

Tasks: 
  • Spreading the culture of quality in all the corridors of the colleges.

  • Follow up on the achievement of the college's programs for the requirements of national and international academic accreditation.

  • Preparing periodic reports and submitting them to the Dean of the College, who in turn submits them to the General Administration for Quality and Development after approval.

  • Work to raise the efficiency of the college's quality system.

  • Suggest improvement plans for academic programs.

  • Inventory assessment of periodic quality requirements.

  • Communicating with the General Administration of Quality and Development regarding quality affairs and academic accreditation in the college.

  • Work with academic programs to prepare annual program reports.

  • Supervising the review and evaluation of the quality of tests.

  • Determine the quality-related training needs of the faculty and staff of the college.

  • Execute the tasks requested by the College Council or the Dean.

  • Preparing the unit's completion report according to its operational plan and submitting it to the dean of the college.
