Dr. Faten Hadi Al-Harbi and Dr. Wijdan Mohammed were awarded the gold medal for their patented innovation “Psycho-SP,” officially registered with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property. The project introduces an intelligent platform that redefines the delivery of mental health services by facilitating effective communication between beneficiaries and psychological specialists. This innovation represents a qualitative leap in the digital counseling environment, integrating technical efficiency with the growing societal need for accessible psychological services.

Dr. Bakr Mohammed Saeed and Dr. Rehab Abdullah Alrumaih received the gold medal and a special award at the Saudi Global Inventions & Innovations Expo (SGiE) 2025 in Jeddah for their virtual reality–based phobia treatment project. The project addresses phobia disorders using interactive virtual reality environments, representing an advanced model in digital psychological therapy. The project earned high recognition from the judging panels for its innovative concept and effective practical application.

Dr. Eman Fayyad, in collaboration with Prof. Abeer Alawwad, was awarded the gold medal for a pioneering training project aimed at empowering mothers to manage their children’s digital disengagement in an effective educational manner. The “Fasl & Wasl” initiative provides interactive alternatives that help rebuild family bonds and reduce reliance on digital devices. The project was honored at SGiE for its excellence as an innovative solution that meets a contemporary educational need through a practical and intelligent approach.

The innovation presented by Dr. Rehab Alrumaih was awarded the silver medal at the Saudi Global Inventions and Innovations Expo (SGiE), for her project “ Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Lens of Augmented Reality”, which obtained an industrial model patent from the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property.

The Psychology Program achieved a distinguished milestone by securing second place in the Program Excellence Award at Onaizah Colleges, with a prize of 120,000 SAR. This accomplishment reflects the program’s high quality of outcomes, innovation in activities and field applications, adherence to quality standards, commitment to continuous development, and the collaborative efforts of faculty members and the quality management team. Together, these elements have solidified the program’s position as a model of academic excellence and professional best practices.
