Regulations for Exemption from the Summer Training Course at the College of Engineering and Information Technology
- The duration of practical work experience must be no less than four consecutive years. In the event of any interruption, it must not exceed six months up to the date of submitting the exemption request.
- The experience must be obtained from an accredited and reliable organization and must be relevant to the student’s field of specialization.
- The nature of the tasks and skills acquired during the practical experience must align with the learning outcomes of the Summer Training course for the student’s academic program.
- The required official documents must be submitted to verify the validity of the work experience, as stipulated in the regulations governing exemption based on practical experience.
- The student must submit a detailed technical report and a presentation outlining the experience, tasks, skills, and projects undertaken, in accordance with the standards specified by the relevant department and the requirements of the College Training Unit.
- The departmental academic committee may conduct a personal interview to verify the student’s practical experience. Based on the interview results, the committee will determine the required content of the technical report and presentation.
- The technical report and presentation will be evaluated according to a designated assessment form for exemption from the Summer Training course, with the grades distributed as follows: 50 marks for the report and 50 marks for the presentation.
